A memory book is a collection of stories, photos, and messages from the people who matter most. Here's how to create one.

Step 1: Sign up or log in

If you don't have an account yet, click Get Started on the homepage. You'll need an email address and a password. After signing up, check your inbox for a verification email.

Step 2: Create a new book

Once logged in, click Create a Book from your dashboard. You'll be asked for:

  • Title: the name of your memory book (e.g., "Dad's 60th Birthday")
  • Description: a short note explaining what the book is for. Contributors will see this when they submit.

You'll also see a "What's this book for?" picker. Pick a use case (wedding, memorial, daily journal, or something else) to personalize the dashboard and PDF cover. You can change this later in Settings. Learn more.

Step 3: Configure your settings

After creating the book, you can adjust settings like visibility, verification mode, and moderation. See Understanding book settings for details.

Custom slugs and book codes

By default, your book gets an auto-generated URL slug and book code. On paid plans, you can customise both: choose a memorable slug for your book's URL and a short, easy-to-type book code for SMS and messaging channels. You can change these in your book's settings at any time.

Step 4: Share it

Your book comes with a shareable link and a QR code. Send it to friends and family and start collecting memories. See Sharing via link and QR code for more options.

From a chat (Telegram, SMS, or WhatsApp)

If you signed up by texting JOIN or messaging the Telegram bot, you can create your first book without leaving the chat. Send /newbook followed by the book's title. For example:

/newbook A Wedding for Sarah

If you have a paid plan slot, the bot will ask which plan to use. Otherwise the new book is created on Free automatically. The chat is immediately bound to the new book; your next text or photo becomes the first memory.
