By default, anyone who can see your book can submit to it. To share the book widely while keeping submissions to a small group, switch the book to Members only.
How to enable members-only submissions
- Go to Book Settings → Sharing.
- Set Submission access to Members only. Save.
- Open the Members page → Invite contributors.
- Add contributors by email, phone number, or Telegram username.
How invitations work
- Email invitations: the person receives a link to register and join. Once they accept, they can submit through any enabled channel.
- Phone invitations (SMS / WhatsApp / iMessage / RCS): the person becomes a member automatically the first time they message your book. There is no separate accept step.
- Telegram invitations: the person becomes a member automatically the first time they message your book via Telegram.
If the invited email, phone, or Telegram handle already belongs to an account, the membership is created immediately when you send the invitation. No action is required from them.
What contributors see
- Members see the contribute hub, the submit form, and your book code, just like before.
- Non-members see the book’s gallery and approved entries, but no submit form. They see a “Members-only contributions” notice with a link to contact you.
Changing the setting back
You can switch back to Open at any time in Book Settings → Sharing. Existing memberships are unaffected.
