The web submission form is the default channel available on all plans. Contributors can submit memories directly from any browser. No app or account required.
How to access the form
Contributors can reach the web form in two ways:
- Direct link: share your book's URL (e.g.
ourmemorybook.com/b/your-book). Visitors click Add a memory on the public page. - QR code: print or display the book's QR code. Scanning it opens the submission form directly.

What contributors can submit
- Text: a written memory or message (markdown formatting supported)
- Photos: one or more images uploaded from the device or camera
- Audio recording: record directly in the browser (paid plans with audio enabled)
- Audio file upload: upload an mp3, m4a, wav, ogg, or webm file (paid plans with audio enabled)
At least one of text, photo, or audio is required per submission.
Text formatting
The text field supports markdown. Contributors can use bold, italic, headings, lists, block quotes, links, and more. A formatting hint is shown beneath the input on the form.

Private submissions
Logged-in contributors (those with an account) can mark a submission as private. Private submissions are only visible to the book owner and admins; they are excluded from the public page and PDF exports. This is useful for personal notes or sensitive memories.
Verification modes
Book owners can choose how contributor identity is handled on the web form:
- Anonymous: no name or contact information is collected. Submissions show as "Anonymous".
- Unverified: contributors are asked for their name, but it is not verified. They can enter any name they like.
- Verified: contributors provide their email address and must click a verification link before the submission is accepted. This confirms identity and prevents spam. Available on paid plans.
The verification mode is set in your book's settings and applies to all web submissions.
Plan availability
Web submissions are available on all plans, including the free plan. Audio recording and upload on the web form require a paid plan with audio enabled in book settings.
