Reach out to people directly and ask them to contribute a memory to your book. Send requests via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or Telegram.
How it works
- Go to your book's detail page and click Outreach.
- Select contacts or enter a one-off recipient.
- Choose a channel (email, SMS, WhatsApp, or Telegram).
- Write your message or pick a saved template. You can use placeholders like
{name},{book_title}, and{submit_link}. - Click Send Request.
The recipient gets your message with a link to submit a memory. When they respond, the request is automatically marked as "Responded" in your outreach dashboard.
Contacts
Build a contact list for each book to track who you've reached out to and who has responded. Add contacts with a name and at least one identifier (email, phone, or Telegram username).
If a contact later submits a story, the system automatically links their submission to their contact record, even if they submit through a different channel than the one you reached out on.
Message templates
Create reusable message templates so you don't have to rewrite the same request each time. Templates support placeholders:
{name}: the recipient's name{book_title}: your book's title{submit_link}: a direct link to your book's submission page
Opt-out
Email requests include an unsubscribe link. If a recipient clicks it, they are marked as opted out and you won't be able to send them further requests. Opted-out contacts are shown with an indicator in your contact list.
Plan limits
How many contacts, saved templates, and daily requests you get depends on your book's plan. Sending channels follow the same rule as submission channels: each one has to be available on the book's plan before you can send on it. See what each plan includes.
